But that doesnt mean the news wont influence Verizon and other traditional wireless operators. https://www.fiercewireless.com/wireless/mareks-take-verizon-shouldnt-underestimate-comcasts-5g-moves

Wright and Liam Fulling Earlier this month, the FCC announced that its 2022 911 Reliability Certification System is now open for Covered 911 Service Providers to file annual reliability certifications. The filings are due on October 17, 2022. Failure to submit the certification may result in FCC enforcement action. Background In 2013, the FCC adopted rules aimed at improving the reliability and redundancy of the nation's 911 network. Those rules require Covered 911 Service Providers ("C9SP") to take steps that promote reliable 911 service with respect to three network elements: circuit auditing, central-office backup power, and diverse network monitoring. The Commission identified these three network elements as vulnerabilities following a derecho storm in 2012 that significantly impacted 911 service along the eastern seaboard. https://tinyurl.com/y4ydpbav -- (PLease remove QRM from my email address to write to me directly)

Blynn Last week, courts issued two new Florida Telephone Solicitation Act (FTSA) decisions. We've been covering the sprawl of FTSA cases filed since the statute was amended to allow for a private cause of action in July 2021. Both of last week's decisions were on motions to dismiss. First, on September 13, 2022, the Middle District of Florida gave FTSA defendants their first win in Davis v. Coast Dental Services, LLC. There, the plaintiff, using a form complaint that her attorneys often use in other FTSA cases, alleged that the defendant used a "computer software system that automatically selected and dialed" her telephone and sent a single marketing message to her (from a ten-digit phone number) about its dental services without her prior express written consent. https://tinyurl.com/2hhwtjvr
