Message-ID: <20221014223922.GA549232@telecomdigest.us> Date: Fri, 14 Oct 2022 22:39:22 +0000 From: Bill Horne <malQRMassimilation@gmail.com> Subject: Telephone Consumer Protection Act Services Service Sheet by David King , Sanjay Marwaha and Troy Kubes The Federal Communications Commission ("FCC") announced a final rule under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act ("TCPA") that places limits on the number of calls that can be made to consumers without prior express consent.1 Other recent laws enhance consumer protections from unwanted calls and emphasize personal privacy. Two TCPA violations can result in substantial penalties per violation, with penalty amounts increasing for willful violations. Additionally, there is no cap on statutory damages, meaning that thousands of violations can results in millions of dollars of fines. Ensuring compliance with the TCPA will remain key for companies as regulation continues to become more stringent and litigation is a focal point. FTI Consulting works with clients to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with the TCPA when contacting customers. We help design, assess and implement leading management practices and systems to help maximize impact while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. https://tinyurl.com/2s3j463d

More than 1,200 people have signed an online petition asking the mobile-phone giant to cut ties with Patriot Mobile, a Grapevine, Texas-based company that calls itself “America's only Christian conservative wireless provider.” It founded a political action committee this year that backed 11 winning candidates for school boards in the Dallas suburbs, many of whom sought to ban books as part of efforts to fight what they see as “woke” education policies. https://tinyurl.com/327r58jm
