Despite being faced with a broad anti-union misinformation campaign, the workers were victorious in large part due to their strong internal organizing committee and the support they received from a great team of CWA members and organizers. The workers also spent countless hours in discussions with each worker building power, overcoming the anti-union narrative, and building trust with the workers. This win brings the total number of AT&T IHX workers represented by CWA District 4 to 400. https://cwa-union.org/news/organizing-update-180

The potential untapped market – which hinges on, but extends beyond, sending a text via space – is spurring a tale of two strategies: Those putting specialized antennae in phones, versus those putting high-powered antennae on the satellites themselves. For some com- panies, it means billions spent on what could end up being a losing approach. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/10/23/space-race-to-connect-satellites-to-phones-with-apple-spacex-att.html
